A Fantastic Coffee and Cake Afternoon

Chef Holding Baked Treats

Our coffee and cake afternoon was held on 5th May. There was a selection of delicious cakes and scones freshly baked by our head chef Lewis.

We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know prospective residents and their loved ones, answering their questions and telling them all about what Mearns View Care Home in Newton Mearns has to offer.

We got to meet more members of the local community and our Health and Social Care Partnership team.

Working in collaboration with Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) provides seamless coordination of care for our residents. This collaboration ensures that medical, social, and support services are aligned, leading to more comprehensive and holistic care plans.

This also provides us with enhanced access to healthcare services and specialist support such as access to medical professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and therapists, who can offer expertise and guidance on complex health issues. The Health and Social Care Partnership can also facilitate referrals to other healthcare services, ensuring that residents receive appropriate and timely medical interventions when needed.

Our staff has been working closely with HSCP who have provided educational programmes, workshops, and resources to enhance the skills and knowledge of our care home staff. This training covers various areas, including healthcare procedures, dementia care, infection control, and end-of-life care to improve the quality of care we provide.

The Mearns View team is looking forward to greeting the first residents when the home opens next week.

For more information on our care services, or if you would like to visit our home, call 0141 484 7555 or email info@mearnsviewcare.co.uk today and a friendly staff member will be delighted to assist you.
