Mearns View Care Home’s Latest Building Progress

Following the team's recent inspection of the Mearns View site this month, it was so lovely to see the progression made following the last site visit in January 2023.

The exterior of the home is starting to take shape, as well as many of the rooms. Below shows photos of the entrance to the care home, a corridor and one of the communal dining rooms with a kitchenette.

The below images show the current state of the salon, cinema room and lounge (left to right). Following the visit, we could start to envision each room as they had their flooring done, the walls had been decorated and lighting fixtures were starting to be fitted which was very exciting to see.

Mearns View Care Home in East Renfrewshire will house 67 residents and provide 24-hour care for residential, nursing, dementia and respite needs.

The care home will feature an array of modern facilities including communal and private dining rooms, expansive gardens, a hair & nail salon, cinema room and garden café for residents to enjoy regularly for an all-inclusive way of living in Newton Mearns.

We plan to open the marketing suite in April 2023 for prospective residents and their loved ones to speak to Terry the Home Manager and take a look around some of the completed rooms, with the goal of officially opening the home and welcoming residents in May 2023.
