Meet Our Home Manager

Terry is the appointed Home Manager for Mearns View and brings a wealth of experience having started in the care sector as a Care Assistant and then having progressed having gained his BSc Mental Health Nursing. 

Terry has held previous roles of Unit Manager, Deputy Manager and more recently a Home Manager in the local area. Terry has a genuine passion for the nursing profession and caring for others and working in the care in his own words is a great privilege and allows me to support others achieve their own personal goals by helping them live a life that is full and not dominated by diagnosis.

"My vision for the home is to offer a home from experience ensuring that all residents and their families develop a real sense of belonging and I aim to develop a team of dedicated people who share my passion for caring for others.  Mearns View will be a warm, welcoming and safe place that residents can call home."

Mearns View Care Home in East Renfrewshire will be offering 24-hour Residential Care, Nursing Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care to meet the needs of many older individuals in Newton Mearns. On-site will be an array of modern facilities including en-suite bedrooms, dining rooms, a cinema room, an expansive garden, and a hair & nail salon for residents to live a full life each day.
