New Year, New Beginnings at Mearns View Care Home

Christmas at Mearns View Care Home

There was a wonderful buzz in the air this festive season at Mearns View Care Home in Newton Mearns. Our residents, families, and staff all got together to celebrate Christmas and see in the New Year with friends new and old and plenty of laughter.

Christmas morning was one to remember as Santa himself made a surprise visit! The joy on our residents’ faces as he popped in to deliver gifts and share a wee cuddle was priceless. Some moments really captured the magic of the season, like when Santa took time to sit with residents by the Christmas tree or stopped by their rooms with a thoughtful present. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the excitement, and those smiles didn’t stop all day.

Later, the celebrations carried on as some of our residents welcomed their families for Christmas lunch and afternoon tea. The dining room looked beautiful with festive touches and twinkling decorations, and the team worked hard to make sure everyone had a relaxing, special day.

Our staff, as always, were brilliant. Dressed in Christmas jumpers and festive accessories, they made the day even brighter. You can see from the photos just how much effort went into making the celebrations memorable—not just for our residents, but for their families too. It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.

Christmas at Mearns View isn’t just about the day itself; it’s about bringing people together and making our residents feel loved and cherished. Now, as we step into 2025, we’re looking forward to creating even more special memories.
