Resident Outings

Residents at Mearns View Care Home have been enjoying a series of delightful outings, ensuring they stay connected with the hobbies and places they cherish.

Anthony and Alison, a lovely couple, embarked on a scenic drive in the mini-bus, revisiting familiar spots they frequented before joining the care home. The couple relished the experience, sipping on warm coffee during their journey.

Stevie had the pleasure of going out for lunch at a local hotel, accompanied by his wife Christine, and a close friend. This outing provided not only a delicious meal but also valuable time spent together in a different setting.

Andree, another resident, attended a musical performance with her husband, adding a touch of cultural enrichment to their lives.

These regular outings are a testament to the care home's commitment to supporting residents in maintaining connections with the local community and their families. Beyond the immediate benefits of these outings, such as enjoying activities, meals, or cultural events, they contribute significantly to residents' overall well-being.

The outings provide a sense of normality, allowing residents to engage with the broader community, relive cherished memories, and create new ones, all outside the comforting walls of the care home.

We have many more resident trips planned on the horizon, as we feel strongly about enabling residents to get out and have a degree of independence for as long as possible.
